Perry County Hall of Justice — keeping our courts safe.
One of the many responsibilities of the Office of the Sheriff includes security for the courts. To facilitate this task, the Perry County Hall of Justice is secured by Perry County Sheriff's Office Court Security Officers. These Officers fulfill the security needs of the courts and are sworn by the Sheriff.
To ensure the safety of those attending court, the following items are prohibited within or on the grounds of the Perry County Hall of Justice:
Any other items that could be considered a security risk or threat, as determined by Court Security Officers, will be prohibited. The above items should be left in your vehicle and will not be allowed in the Perry County Hall of Justice, nor held at the Security Station. If these items are brought into the courthouse, you will be told to return to your vehicle to leave the items. No exceptions. Please also advise officers if you have a medical condition that prohibits you from walking through a magnetometer (metal detector).
Sworn Law Enforcement are exempt from the prohibition of the items listed above.
